How to Export GitHub Copilot Chat History

Step-by-Step Guide

Access GitHub Settings

Sign in to GitHub and navigate to your account settings at github.com/settings/profile.

Data Portability

Go to the “Data portability” section or visit github.com/settings/account.

Request Archive

Click “Start export” to request your GitHub data archive, which includes Copilot Chat conversations.

Download Archive

Once the archive is ready (this may take some time), you will receive an email notification. Download the archive file containing your Copilot Chat history.
