How to Export Instagram Data

Step-by-Step Guide

Access Download Request Page

Open your web browser and visit instagram.com/download/request/. Make sure you’re logged into your Instagram account. If not, log in with your username and password.

Request Data Download

On the download request page, enter the email address where you’d like to receive the download link. Select your preferred data format (JSON or HTML). Click Next to proceed.

Verify Your Identity

Instagram may ask you to enter your account password to verify your identity. Enter your password to confirm the download request.

Wait for Data Preparation

Instagram will begin preparing your data. This process can take up to 48 hours to complete. You’ll receive an email notification once your data is ready for download.

Download Your Data

Open the email you received and click on the download link. Follow the prompts to download and save your data file. Note: The download link is valid for 4 days. If you don’t download the data within this period, you may need to submit a new request.

Access Your Data

Your downloaded data will be in a zip file format. Extract the zip file to access your Instagram data, including your photos, videos, messages, profile information, and other account data.
