Step-by-Step Guide

Access Data Controls

You can directly access the Data Controls page via this link: https://chatgpt.com/#settings/DataControls. Alternatively, navigate manually: Sign in to ChatGPT, click on your profile icon in the top right corner, then go to Settings → Data Controls. This is where you’ll find all data export options.

Export Your Data

Under Export Data, click Export button. This will initiate the export process for all your ChatGPT conversation history and account data.

Confirm Export

In the confirmation screen, click Confirm export to proceed with the data export request.

Check Your Email and Download

You should receive an email from OpenAI with your data export link. Important: The link in the email expires after 24 hours, so make sure to download your data promptly. Click Download data export to download a .zip file including:
