Sign in to ChatGPT. In the top right corner of the page, click on your profile icon, then click Settings.
Click Data Controls menu. Under Export Data, click Export.
In the confirmation screen, click Confirm export.
You should receive an email with your data. Note: The link in the email expires after 24 hours. Click Download data export to download a .zip file including your chat history in chat.html as well as your other data on file with us.
For AI services, exported JSON files may contain your private information (such as phone numbers, API keys). Please ensure proper sanitization before uploading to third-party analysis tools.
